Two ways to know where you stand
Your CV meets its two harshest critics.
One is a comedian. One is a machine. Pick your fight.
Get Roasted.
A witty, specific AI teardown of your CV’s writing, plus the fixes a real career coach would give.
Roast meGet Scanned.
See if applicant tracking software can actually parse your CV, and how it scores against a real job post.
Run the scanFrequently asked questions
Is roastmy.cv free?
Yes. The roast, the ATS scan, and every tool in /tools are free, with a daily limit per visitor to keep the service usable for everyone.
Do you store my CV?
No. Your CV (and any job description or LinkedIn text you paste alongside it) is parsed in memory for that one request and discarded immediately after. For the roast tool, only the roast text itself is kept, for 30 days, so its share link keeps working.
Is my CV used to train AI models?
No. Nothing you upload or paste is used for training.
What's the difference between the roast and the ATS scan?
The roast is a witty AI critique of your CV's writing and structure, plus specific fixes a career coach would give. The ATS scan checks whether applicant tracking software can actually parse your CV's formatting, and, if you paste a job posting, how well your CV's keywords match it.
What file formats can I upload?
PDF and DOCX, or you can paste your CV as plain text instead.
Do I need to sign up?
No account, no email, no signup for any tool on the site.
